2nd Annual Prince George’s County Challenge

The Prince George’s County Basketball Coaches Association brought its annual PG Challenge to Fairmont Heights High School on February 14-15, allowing the county’s 4A squads to judge themselves against their 1A/2A/3A counterparts. The 4A League proved triumphant this year - winning the series 6 games to 3. Kevin Durant MLK Classic

Kevin Durant MLK Classic took place today at the St. James facility and these young men that played did not disappoint. Woodrow Wilson High School had a busy Saturday with 2 games and won both representing the DMV brand well. A slugfest between St. Charles and Riverdale Baptist took place, St. Charles was victorious 55-53 with their guard play, defense, and rebounding. Norfolk Collegiate made the trip up to play Sidwell Friends. Norfolk had some high flying plays that showed their brand of basketball and it led to a 58-47 victory.

3rd Annual Edgar Chin III Box Out for Cancer Showcase

3rd Annual Edgar Chinn III Boxout Cancer Showcase was held at Frederick Douglass HS to give honor to the life of Edgar Chinn III and all of the great accomplishments and good deeds he has done in the community. Our County’s own Chad Wilson, founder of Hoop Buzz held his 4th Annual Hoop Buzz Invitational at Wise High School and it was filled with championship level play all day long! 8th Annual DMV Tip-off Classic at North Point High School

8 years strong, the DMV Tip-off Classic continues standing strong as one of the premiere basketball tournaments year in and year out.  Anyone looking for some pre-holiday competition on the hardwood; this past weekend at North Point High School in Waldorf, MD was the place to be. “She Got Game Classic”

A tournament packed with talent and emotion that did not disappoint. The High school girls teams in this area have as fierce a rivalry as their counterpart boys team and play just as hard. Elite talent on full display all weekend lost which was capped off with an epic game featuring Riverdale Baptist (ranked #1 in MD) and St. Francis Academy. The Washington D.C. High School National Hoopfest once again exceeded expectations.
